Yesterday, today and tomorrow
Homegrown franchise brand the 3@1 Business Centre has, over 20 years, developed a solid franchise model by which it has produced more than 78 local franchises. 3@1 Is now trading in Lusaka, Zambia and Kampala, Uganda as well as Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Namibia with new stores opening soon in Windhoek and Lusaka. 2018 will see continued expansion throughout the African Continent. The franchisor also forecasts extensive growth in all nine provinces at home.

The concept under the spotlight
The 3@1 Business Centre franchise concept offers a retail opportunity in the business and communications industry that delivers consultative, personalised service in a professional, user-friendly environment.

With their extensive selection of services, 3@1 franchisees benefit from a variety of different revenue streams. The 3@1 service offering encompasses DHL Express Easy, 3@1 counter-to-counter national courier, and Kodak Express offering photos, collages, block mounting, photobooks, and ID and Visa photos. Other services include business print, broad format print and related services like binding, laminating, etc. In addition, 3@1 now offers business registrations and many SARS-related services.
3@1 Promotes owner-operated stores with an initial staff complement of two team members to support the franchisee.

Applicants have a choice of three business models. A stand-alone full store measures 60 to 80sqm while an express store option occupies 30 to 45sqm and the recently introduced Kiosk concept requires only 20sqm.

Consider your support
When investing in a 3@1 Business Centre, franchisees get all the support and training they need. The 3@1 franchise is a turnkey offering and franchisees enjoy the support of the head office team every step of the way; from site selection to securing the lease, then through the planning phase to store set-up, training, and the eventual store opening.

Introductory training for new franchisees is compulsory and takes place in an existing outlet before store opening. The training incorporates an overview of the 3@1 Business Centres, business model, marketing and advertising, store operations, merchandising, customer service and management techniques as well as inventory, cost accounting, and general business procedures. After the store opening the franchise team spends a further five to seven days in-store with the franchisee to ensure they and their staff are proficient and comfortable.
