Drivio
The home of driving

FASA Member
Yesterday, today and tomorrow
Drivio is a unique driving school and South Africa’s first franchised driver training business opportunity. The billion-rand learner driver training industry ready for radical change, and in today's technologically advanced world where everything is going digital, Drivio dared to ask the question: why not take driver instruction into the digital age too? For decades flight schools have employed simulators to teach pilots how to respond to different scenarios in the air. Applying the same principle and utilising state-of-the-art stimulation-based holistic driver training technology, Drivio offers interactive, fun, driver instruction that is stress-free and builds skill and confidence faster than traditional driver training methods.

The first Drivio outlet opened in Hatfield, Pretoria in 2015 quickly followed by three more outlets located in Pretoria East, Sandton and The Vaal.
The concept under the spotlight
Drivio, South Africa’s first interactive driving academy, is one of the most exciting, innovative and technologically advanced franchises in South Africa, achieving performance targets double that of their competitors. Their e-learning, driving simulators and top class driving instructors afford learner drivers the opportunity to get comfortable behind the wheel before getting on the road, and allows new drivers an easy and accessible way to improve their driving skills.

With a combination of state-of-the-art driver training technology and highly skilled expert driving instructors Drivio offers learner- and drivers licence training as well as specialised driving, defensive driving, advanced and economical driving and AARTO training.
Drivio’s learner licence training incorporates an interactive e-learning system that brings theory to life. Features include an immersive learning programme with simulations, animations, videos, and narrations, streamlined test preparation, continuous, automated assessments and printable progress reports, assessments based on the actual licence tests and professional on-site support.

Drivio’s drivers licence training takes the stress out of learning how to drive with state-of-the-art simulator training to build confidence, and a customized on-the-road training programme. Stage one comprises state-of-the-art stimulator training that takes the stress out of learning how to drive while building learners’ confidence, and a customised training programme when learners take to the road. Stage two is on-the-road training after all the lessons and assessments in the simulator has been mastered. Lesson plans are tailored according to each learner’s unique requirements and includes up to two independent assessments by a former Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC)-examiner or a K53 expert, assistance with a quick booking at the DLTC, car hire and a pre-test lesson on test day.

Addressing the needs of millennial learner drivers Drivio has created a more interactive driver programme loaded with the latest technology. Unlike traditional driving schools Drivio arms learners with the necessary skills before they take to the road.
